Sole Artistry is our pre-pro competition/performance team with the main focus of using competitions, workshops, and all the many other experiences for education and growth as a performer. This opportunity is open to students ages 4 & older who are dedicated to their art, love performing, and want to step up to the next level! These students spend more time in the classroom learning and enriching their passion for dance and tumbling! Sole Artistry members attend workshops where they learn from choreographers and performers seen in movies, television, and on Broadway stages! We participate in regional competitions during the Winter – Spring season and end our spring competition season by attending nationals where we get to compete against other great dancers across the country! Competitions are a wonderful opportunity to show our love for our artform, perform and show off our talents, show our studio spirit and get inspired by other performers! During the Summer season, we participate in local community events and compete at fairs in hopes to qualify to compete at the Iowa State Fair in which the winners receive large cash prizes and perform live on television! Sole Artistry is a team that supports its members of all ages. It is a great tool to improve not only technique and quality of movement, but also learn dedication, discipline, responsibility, and teamwork. It helps dancers gain confidence and be a part of their artistic community! It is a wonderful learning experience for any student who is ready to ignite their passion for dance!
Meet The Team
Brooklyn is 18 years old and has been dancing with Artistic Intensity for 14 years. This is also her 14th season as a member of Sole Artistry. This year in addition to her company pieces, Brooklyn is performing 3 solos: a Tap dance to "Gone So Fast", a Contemporary dance to "New York State of Mind", and a very special jazz dance to a cover of "A Little Less Conversation" which was also the title of her very first solo when she was just 5 years old. Brooklyn has qualified to compete at the Iowa State Fair 10 times and has made it to the semi-finals 5 times. She has also earned a spot in the TOP STARZ performance team at Talent on Parade Nationals, National Diamond Dancer at Symposium, and Standout Dancer at Starz. She received a Dance Directive GoPro scholarship to perform at KIDS ROC professional performances in Branson, MO, where she earned a scholarship to attend Theatre Arts Preparatory School. She has also earned a scholarship at the Quad City Dance Network, Precision Performer at PAC, and IAX ELITE Scholarship to assist with the Immerse Artists Experience.

Bailey is 19 years old and has been dancing with Artistic Intensity for 4 years. This is her 3rd year with Sole Artistry. This year in addition to her company pieces, Bailey is performing a Jazz dance to "Hip Hip Chin Chin". Bailey has received multiple judge's awards for her performance quality, earned Bravo's Showmanship scholarship to Insaside Summer Intensive, as well as a scholarship from TOP Dance Directive to attend GoPro and perform with KIDS ROC in Branson, Mo. Her GoPro scholarship also earned her the opportunity to assist at TOP Dance Directive workshops. Most recently, Bailey won the "Be The Light" award at Quad City Dance Network for her positive energy and kindness toward her fellow dancers, she was the Improv Shootout Winner and Standout Dancer at Starz Dance Competition.

Olivia is 17 years old and this is her 1st year with Artistic Intensity and Sole Artistry. In addition to her company pieces, Olivia is performing a Jazz dance to "You Don't Own Me". Olivia has placed in the TOP 5 at several competitions including winning 1st overall and Precision Performer at Precision Arts Challenge.

Rachel is 17 years old and this her 1st year training with Artistic Intensity and the Sole Artistry team. In addition to her company pieces, she is performing a Jazz solo to "When Doves Cry". She has received several high awards including being chosen as an ambassador for DragonWing at Bravo Dance Competition.

Lacey is 16 years old and has been dancing with Artistic Intensity for 5 years. This is her 2nd year on Sole Artistry and in addition to her company pieces, Lacey is performing 2 solos: a Contemporary dance to "Blackbird" and musical theatre dance to "I'd Rather Be Me". This year Lacey has earned Bravo's Showmanship scholarship to Inaside Summer Intensive, TOP STARZ, and was part of a National Grand Champion Duet.

Scarlett is 14 years old and has been dancing with Artistic Intensity for 4 years. This is her 2nd year on Sole Artistry. In addition to her company pieces, she is performing a Tap dance to "Superstition". Scarlett received multiple First Grand Champions, earned a spot in the TOP STARZ performance team at nationals, Xtreme Performer at Moxie, 2026 Highest Score of the Day at Applause, and was part of a National Grand Champion Duet.

Alice is 12 years old and this is her 1st year training at Artistic Intensity and on Sole Artistry. In addition to her company pieces, she is performing a Tap dance to "Real Wild Child". Alice has had a great first season on Sole Artistry and most recently earned a spot in TOP STARZ at Talent On Parade Nationals.

Aliza is 9 years old and has been training with Artistic Intensity for 3 years. This is her 1st year on the Sole Artistry team! She has already won 3rd place at the Mediapolis Bill Riley Talent Search, placed in the Top 5 at several competitions, earned a spot in TOP STARZ at Talent On Parade Nationals, and received a scholarship from Quad City Dance Network.

Olivia is 8 years old and has been dancing at Artistic Intensity for 3 years. This is her 2nd year with Sole Artistry! In addition to her company pieces, she is performing a Jazz dance to "Could Have Been Me". She has place in the Top 10 at several regional competitions and Talent on Parade Nationals and earned a spot in their TOP STARZ performance team, and the "Be The Light" award from the Quad City Dance Network.
