Artistic Director/Owner
Lexy Ludtke was born into the dance studio environment and began training as soon as she could walk. She has trained in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Modern, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Acrobatics, Poms, Ballroom, and Cheerleading. She was a 4-year member her high school cheerleading and dance teams, was a member of the "All Iowa Honor Dance & Drill Team" and named a CSA "All Star" cheerleader. Outside of school Lexy was a competition dancer and competitive all-star cheerleader as well as supplementing her musical background with training in vocal as well as a various musical instruments. As a competitor, she won several grand champion awards, scholarships, and judges' awards at regional and national dance competitions. She also won many photogenic titles including KAR Nationals in which she was featured on the cover of their program book. She was an Iowa State Fair Bill Riley Talent Search Semi-Finalist 11 times, a Sprout Champion and a Senior Finalist. In the dance studio, she became a Student Assistant at age 12, working her way up to Senior Instructor at 17 and has now been a full-time instructor and choreographer for almost 20 years. At 15, Lexy directed her first workshop for radio station B100 promoting the Cheetah Girls concert at the Tax Slayer Center. She has been a featured dancer in many shows throughout the Quad Cities and was a back-up dancer for Justice & J Sterling, performing with them at many events including opening up for T-Pain and Soulja Boy on their Midwest Tour. Lexy was choreographer/featured dancer for the unveiling of "Internal Injuries: Effects of Verbal Abuse" displayed at the Bucktown Arts Center. She has staged and produced multiple presentations of "Thriller" including at the "Tribute to Michael Jackson" night at the Capitol Theatre. As a dance team choreographer, her routines earned high ratings at various solo and team competitions. Lexy took over ownership of her dance school in 2016 and renovated it to become Artistic Intensity! Lexy is certified in First Aid/CPR through American Red Cross, Youth Protection Advocate In Dance, Heads Up! Concussions in Youth Sports, and the United States All Star Federation. Lexy continues to perform, attend workshops, and choreograph throughout the state of Iowa. As a studio owner and artistic director, her students have won numerous grand champion awards, national titles, special judges' awards, and scholarships. Her unique choreography and creative concepts have earned high awards throughout the country including multiple Best Choreography, Most Entertaining, Top Teacher, and Best Costume awards for her handcrafted custom costumes. Outside of the studio, Lexy has her own sewing business, and she enjoys spending time with her family, cats, and her partner Donavan who can often be seen helping out at her dance school events as well.
Assistant Artistic Director/Manager
Lolly Ludtke has been teaching and training dancers throughout Iowa and Illinois for over 40 years. She has training in the styles of Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Modern, Contemporary, Tumbling, and Poms. As a dancer, she was a featured performer in several local community shows as well as county and state pageants. At age 17, after teaching for a few area studios, she opened her own dance center, Dance Unlimited. Lolly became the choreographer for several area shows, musicals, show choirs, drill/dance teams, and pageants, including producing and choreographing for the Miss Blackhawk Valley, Miss Scott County, and Miss Iowa Pageants. She has also choreographed for many local and state pageant contestants who became title winners. Lolly was director, choreographer, and featured performer for the Illinois Blackhawks Semi-Pro Football Team’s “Honey Hawks” dance team for both their regular season and their 1977 European tour performing in France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. She served six seasons as the dance team coach for Davenport North High School during which they received many high competition ratings and recognition for academic excellence. For decades, her competition dance companies have won numerous awards and grand championships at local, regional, and state talent shows, as well as national dance competitions. She has also received many awards for Best Choreography throughout her career. Several of her dance students have gone on to succeed in the dance profession including teaching, owning their own studios, and dancing professionally in Las Vegas, Commercials, on Television, and on touring shows. Along with the studio, Lolly enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and she has her own dessert business and is a caregiver for her mother.
